About Regina Miller

R. Miller Consulting LLC is an award winning business consulting firm.

As a successful business owner and educator, Regina Miller has always understood the value of diversity within an organization, and she is herself a great example of the opportunity it can bring to a community. She looks at diversity as an advantage. Regina currently has twenty-five employees at Princeton Children’s Center and she considers diversity extremely desirable in early childhood education. Employing educators of varying ages and backgrounds, including current teachers from Pakistan, England and Mexico, allows for creativity, understanding and variety, while still serving the all-encompassing goal of providing a compassionate and advantageous learning environment. Embracing diversity within her organization has created a climate of acceptance that is positive for both the children and adults who are familiar with Regina and Princeton. This intentional inclusion has benefited the parents of the students at Princeton Children’s Center as well as its neighbors. Parents of various religions and backgrounds have sought out Princeton Children’s Center because they know they will be treated with respect. Princeton’s customer base is broad and diverse. The Center helps celebrate this by offering quarterly events where parents are encouraged to get to know one another. Regina understands that being a leader goes beyond the doors of her school.

As the owner, founder, and Director of Princeton Children’s Center, Regina was named the 2012/2013 “Woman of the Year” by the National Association of Professional Women, and has spent over 35 years improving children’s lives and her community through the field of early childhood education. Through this journey, Princeton Children’s Center was awarded “Top Day Care” by the Wichita Business Journal in both 2013 and 2015.

As an African American business leader, Regina feels an innate responsibility to give back to Wichita and the south central Kansas area that she proudly calls home. This includes being an active board member for over 15 years in the Butler Community College Advisory Council for Early Childhood Education and an active board member in the Wichita Public School #259 for Occupational/Technical Services. Regina is also a Professional Development Specialist with the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington D.C. where she assists teachers in achieving certifications. As a leader, she believes strongly in mentorship, and is an active mentor both on an individual level as well as a mentor and life coach for Young Life of Wichita.

As an employer, Regina looks to find ways to help her staff grow and promote their skills. She enjoys watching her employees develop and improve. To her, giving back is not a choice in leadership, it is a responsibility. Offering additional training and educational growth is a gift to the children in Wichita; one that they will continue to enjoy for years to come.

Growing up in the sixties and seventies, Regina was born to John and Helen Purvis, the seventh of eight children in Norfolk, Virginia. Her mother passed away when Regina was only 14 years old. Nonetheless, she was the first of her siblings to graduate from college and after attending Solano College in California, she later received her Associates in Applied Sciences Degree in Early Childhood Education from Butler Community College. Regina has two adult children of whom she is extremely proud, and she and her husband Jesse have been happily married for 30 years.

Regina Miller is an active member of the Wichita Chamber of Commerce, as well as an active member of the Wichita Business Journal and Bizwomen.
